Right. How do I put this.
I'm putting my past to rest.
I deleted all my posts before I returned on my hiatus this year. They were all download links and I was one of those "Download Blogs" last year, but after I returned this year I decided to change the image of this blog. This blog, after my hiatus, has drifted very far from my old roots and is now a pengie/unchained-influenced blog.
Pengie has been my teacher, an invaluable resource, a friend in helping me to mould my blog into what it is now. Her post only reaffirmed my desire to delete my old posts as my style has changed drastically since my debut. Well, she's done more than help me on my blog.
This isn't a 'download blog' any more, it more of what pengie puts as "the medium length “emotional” type of reviews" how the music impacts myself personally, which in all seriousness leads me to fangirl a lot. But anyways, I find this structure of writing much easier on myself and a lot more personal. While it may hard to generate ideas at times, it definitely pays off once I see the final product.
Back in the day when I would spend 5 minutes to find a link, upload a picture, write a few lines and I would be done. Compare that to now where I would spend at least countless hours on writing and proofreading, not to mention the hours where I would go "oh fuck me, what the hell do I write now." But writing about bands/artists and their material and how it effects me personally and emotionally is a joy and a pleasure.
The new style suits me, not just because the change in writing and material. But (this sounds weird) being distinctive in the blogosphere is a nice change from being just "another blog". I make sure my writing is different from everyone else's so it doesn't feel like I just vomitted what someone else has just written with a thesaurus shoved so far up my ass I can't even shit properly.
Bloggers like Pengie at Unchained, Wu at wherever the hell is at now, Broom at TrueLifeSeek, Henkka at H!P Opinions of a MetalHead, Ray at American Wota, Raid at RaidMyMinibar and a lot of other bloggers are distinctive in their own right, neither of them copy each other, their writing styles are totally different from each other and I'm striving to be like them. Not copying their styles, but to be distinctive in my own right.
But like I said earlier, when I actually finish it, the satisfaction of looking at the final product is overwhelming. Just to see hours of work (I always get bloody writer's block) go into a piece of writing just fills me up with joy and satisfaction.
But anyways, sorry to those who actually do see this and were wanting something along the lines of a download link. This deletion of posts were just a reconfirmation of the new style of writing of this blog. When I get a hit specifically for one of my older posts I cringe because I know what I did back then is an injustice to what my blog is now, a slap to the face perhaps.
Also another reason why is blogger are deleting blogs is because they post copyrighted material, which is annoying, but fair. Download blogs such as JpopnKpop and recently, Japan Roll have been deleted because of this crackdown. But whatever, I don't want to divulge in it any further detail.
But hell, screw the copyright, there's countless forums and trackers which you can find material. If you can't find it, email me and I'll hook you up. It isn't too hard to find material these days.
That's pretty much it.
Oh and about those paedophile comments on International Wota and on this blog, trust me it's all just a joke. Except those about Captain, Airi, Chinami, Saaya...
